Anxiety Attack… Soul vs. Mind and Body

Let me say first, I am not a licensed therapist or an expert on anxiety disorders.  But when certain situations come into my life, I am a writer so that’s what I do.  Recently I’ve been looking at anxiety attacks as a way that your soul will get your attention.  I think a bit extreme but us humans can be stubborn.  Our amazing body and soul will find a way to give us a sign when we are off track.  Heed the warning.

Physical symptoms of general anxiety include a pounding heart, sweating, upset stomach, dizziness, headaches, fatigue and insomnia.  We all have some anxiety.  Moments that come and go.  Usually, no big deal, just one of many emotions we experience.  For most people, they will live a full life and just have these moments’ verses a full attack.

An anxiety attack, though, feels like this list I found online (*):

  • Surge of overwhelming panic
  • Feeling of losing control or going crazy
  • Heart palpitations or chest pain
  • Feeling like you’re going to pass out
  • Trouble breathing or choking sensation
  • Hyperventilation
  • Hot flashes or chills
  • Trembling or shaking
  • Nausea or stomach cramps
  • Feeling detached or unreal

An anxiety attack is not fun.  It can feel like a heart attack.  Maybe a much milder form of a near-death experience since during the attack, you do wonder if you are going to make it.

Anxiety = worry and fear, often suppressed and unconscious.  It’s a feeling of, unease.  Uncomfortable and uncertain of the outcome.  I’ve learned on my journey, life is often uncontrollable yet the ego/human in us tries to plan/project/expect/keep it under control.  Anxiety is a sign that something is, off.

What I do know is, our soul wishes for us to be at peace.  It doesn’t want us to worry or fear.  So notice yourself.  Your body.  Your moods.  Notice when you feel anxious.  What can it teach you?  What is your soul trying to tell you?  It might not be what you think.  Your soul wishes to align you to your master plan – a good life.  Be patient with yourself as you get to the root of the issue.  Yes, it might take some time.  Ponder, rest, relax and allow your soul to guide you.

I also recommend meditation.  Imagine your inner soul… in your body.  Can you see it?  Feel it?  Connect with it?  I will say that I believe our soul is so free and light, it does struggle with our human form, the heaviness – particularly when we are out of alignment.  Ask yourself, what have you been doing lately, your body?  Ask your soul how it sees your life?  Can you envision your soul shaking you, trying to get your attention?  Why is there this divide or difference of opinion and therefore the anxiety attack?  What changes can you make to place yourself where is best?  Make the changes you can and trust that the Universe will also assist you.

The issue also might be very deep.  It might be tried to generational karma or a past life.  For some reason, your soul feels you are strong enough to bring it up and release it.

I do wish to say if you or another are having anxiety attacks and know something isn’t right, please do consider and seek professional help. You can and will get through this.

Anxiety attacks are to be honored… blessed.  Even better, released.  They are heart and soul communications.  A call to transform.
